Andrew Cushman has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Although he held a number of supervisory positions in Chemical Engineering after graduation he knew this was not his permanent career path and was merely using it as a means to provide income until he was able to determine what it was he really wanted to do with his life!
Once he realized that Investment Real Estate was exactly what suited him…he quickly realized that there was no such thing as a “Bad Market” only “Bad Strategies”.
He learned that through analyzing geographical areas, properties types and neighborhoods, and current economics you could easily adapt to the current market.
First Ventures in Real Estate Investing
Leaving the world of Engineering in 2007, Andrew first began investing in (SFO’s) Single Family homes that he would buy, rehab, and sell for profit (Flip). He completed 24 single family flips before he decided to progress to bigger and better real estate investments
How Andrew Raised $1.2 Million
Moving ahead 4 years later to 2011…Andrew decided to transition to acquisition and repositioning of multi-family properties. He purchased a mostly vacant 92 unit property as his first venture into multi-family properties. In order to make that purchase, he needed to raise $1.2 Million to make the deal happen.
