Wayne Mullins is the Founder of Ugly Mug Marketing (A Marketing Company) which he started 11 years ago out of a coffee shop. He is passionate about building a team at Ugly Mug Marketing that isn’t focused on checking off items on to-do lists, or winning design awards, but instead, on helping their clients sleep better at night.
Today, thanks to his amazing team, is not uncommon for prospective clients to have to wait weeks – or even months – to become a client of Ugly Mug Marketing.
Wayne directly influences more than a quarter-million entrepreneurs each year through his blog, books, and training programs.
How did it all Start
When Wayne was a junior in college his parents gave him a set of CDs from Zig Ziglar. Although he was surprised and not sure why they gave them to him at first he quickly learned from listening to those CD’s that “Sales was the greatest profession in the world”. As a result, he decided to shift his major in college because he decided that was his path to success. Once out of college he obtained a job in sales to continue the learning process hands-on….quickly learning that he could make so much more money working for himself, as opposed to continuing working for someone else!
The Evolution
He decided to quit that job and started his first company which was in lawn and landscape as those were skills he already had. His company grew very rapidly over the next 3 years and as a result, he found it profitable to sell the business to begin a new venture! And so evolved “Ugly Mug Marketing”… which is now a successful marketing company!
