Episode 82: Wholesaling Real Estate, with David Dodge

David Dodge is a founding member of House Sold Easy Properties and brings over 14 years of real estate expertise to the company. He is responsible for acquiring real estate throughout Missouri while managing a sales team. In addition to working with House Sold Easy, he owns and operates a real estate property management firm, a retail brokerage, and a fix and flip company all located in Saint Louis Missouri. 

Mr. Dodge has been involved in hundreds of real estate negotiations, purchases, and sales. He has been coaching and mentoring others on how they too can invest in real estate for several years. He is also the co-host of the Discount Property Investor podcast. Prior to House Sold Easy, he was operating his own wholesale company and acquiring rental properties while having several jobs in Sales and Marketing. Mr. Dodge graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate Investing.

Episode 81: Sports Lessons Applied to Business, with Jenny Davis

Jenny’s personal improvement journey started when she was 6 after being enrolled in a judo class so she could learn to defend herself. She went on to become a black belt fighting for Scotland & GB all over the world.  A few years later she swapped her baggy judo suit for lycra, a carbon fiber bike & high speeds on the velodromes all over the world. Career highlights include winning silver at Delhi Commonwealth Games, narrowly missing out on Team GB selection for London 2012 Olympics, and racing for Team Scotland in front of a home crowd at Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

During London 2012 trials Jenny was asked to present how she improved her performance to her department manager and leaders at Standard Life Plc. Having shared the principles of improvement Jenny was asked to help lead and deliver continuous improvement in the business. There a new career was born!

After many business improvements and problem-solving projects, teams, training programs, and lessons learned across multiple industries, Jenny now works with business leaders and entrepreneurs to move away from fire fighting and stress to calm and control and then onward to World Class Customer Service and the growth and profits that come with that.

Episode 78: Know More About Private Money, with Jay Conner

Who am I and why should you listen to me? My name is Jay Conner, and let me tell you: I can relate to all the feelings and frustrations of losing out on so many deals. When I started out investing in real estate, I did it the wrong way. Like so many other investors, I was taken to the slaughterhouse.

I went to my local banker and was able to do a few deals, but you know what happened? I had to come up with Big Down Payments, pay origination fees, and, most importantly, play by their rules. (Including signing personal guarantees on everything I owned.) I hated it. I felt owned by the bank, out of control, and stressed out.

So, I got some education and learned about buying properties subject-to, using options, and buying with lease/options. These tools opened up my opportunities, but then the market turned south big time. My banker cut me off with no warning! I knew I had to find another way. I searched high and low for another system that would give me the funds I needed. Then, I realized I needed to combine the best aspects of all that I researched. And that’s when I created the basis for my system. I kept refining it until I thought I had the best formula. Then I put it all together and made contact with my first prospect. I trusted my system and the very first person I approached gave me $250,000 in private money. What blew me away was how easy it was!

Within a few short months, I had $2,150,000 in private money! And that was just a couple of years ago. It has rocked my real estate investing career! My banker actually did me a huge favor. I just didn’t know it at the time, because that setback forced me to create the system that would bring me lots of money fast and easy without relying on bankers or my credit. The 7 figures per year I’ve been blessed to enjoy by creating and putting into action my “Where To Get The Money Now” system has, without a doubt, been my biggest quantum leap since becoming a real estate investor. And I live in a city with only 40,000 people.
